SANTA COMES TO CRYSTALAND
Where else might you see a parade down the beach at Christmas Time?
Every year, the second Saturday of December, The Bolivar Peninsula Chamber of Commerce hosts a gathering for young and old. Santa & Mrs. Claus sit on a decorated float amidst a varying theme of riders. More and more floats joined in the parade this year, along with decorated jeeps and golf carts. This year, due to high tides, the parade began at the Crystal Beach Fire Station, headed down through the neighborhood and ended up back at the Fire Station. Santa and Mrs. Clause greeted all the children with a goody bag and their very own photo with Santa & Mrs. Claus. Trophies were given to 1st, 2nd and 3rd floats, vehicles and golf carts.
Crystal Beach and the Bolivar Peninsula Chamber of Commerce sure know how to throw a Christmas Party!
A special thanks to the Lighthouse Krewe for handing out hot dogs, drinks and chips to all!
